About the Workshop

I’m hosting this workshop around my kitchen table, welcoming you to explore what it means to you to live well in a cozy, safe environment.

Imagine your life ten years from now today, in vivid detail. What does it feel like to live in your body? When do you wake up each morning and how do you greet the day? Where and with whom do you work? For what in your life do you feel most grateful?

Writing your magical ten-year plan is a lot more about magic and writing than it is about planning. This workshop takes inspiration from an exercise first created by American writer, designer, and educator Debbie Millman, where imagining your life a decade in the future subverts the ancient impulse to plan, judge, and silence our deepest longings and sources of meaning. Moving through a series of questions and answering them with as much courage and honesty as we can gather, we craft a meaningful document of unjudged dreams, discover truths about ourselves hiding in plain sight, and perhaps a better understanding of who we are becoming. No writing or journaling experience required—all you need to bring is yourself.

If spending a day with conscious women, writing together in flow, immersed in your stream of consciousness, dreaming of the future while holding the present with gentleness and compassion sounds like time well spent—then this workshop is for you.


My parents named me Flora (nature) Caroline (strength), and so my name means the strength of nature. I studied biochemistry, and then birth. First in theory—Biochemistry 1—then in practice—working in a research lab—then again in theory—studying birth—and again in practice—giving birth—then theory—birth doula training—then practice—supporting women in the exquisite journey to motherhood.

In birth as in biochemistry, I see the strength of nature, her gravitational pull, massive and subtle, invisible at times, at others—unmistakable.

This is the second time I am hosting this workshop. Without a doubt, hosting this workshop is yet another opportunity to move through a cycle of theory and practice, trusting in the strength of co-creation, holding space for the women around me and in so doing, holding space for myself. The woman I am now, and the one I am becoming. It is another chance to fall and trust that, if I do not catch myself, the earth itself will embrace me. If I do not create something beautiful and true, then you, dear one, will bring exactly what is needed.


The purpose of this workshop is gathering people together for reflection, dreaming, and focused writing. I want to do this free from profit or commercialization.

Include your name, phone number (WhatsApp), and food restrictions or allergies, a brief introduction, and what you hope to gain from participation. You will receive a confirmation of your registration within 24 hours (or your spot on the waiting list), along with two short articles to read and the workshop outline in case you would like to read it ahead of time.

I will only use your phone number in case of necessity on the day of the workshop. I will send one closing email after the workshop which includes an optional survey, as well as an email 1 year to the day after the workshop, and will not use or share your email address further.

There are 5 spots available in total, but if you register after it is fully booked, I will let you know and add you to the waiting list.

Dress comfortably, in clothing suitable for a day writing and a walk outside.

Bring your preferred writing materials: a notebook and pens or pencils, or a laptop. Feel welcome to also bring house shoes or warm socks, a blanket, yoga cushion, yoga mat, or anything that helps you to feel comfortable and at ease while writing and during breaks.

Babes in arms and nursing moms are very welcome.

My home is accessible to people with mobility challenges and wheelchair users.


9-9:45 Arrival with coffee, tea, and fresh cinnamon rolls.

9:45-10:00 Welcome, explanation, and introductions.

10:00-10:10 Guided meditation.

10:00-11:00 Writing session 1: What does your life look like?

11:00-11:15 Pause, reflection, deep breathing exercise.

11:15-12:15 Writing session 2: What does your life look like? (part 2)

12:15-13:15 Lunch: vegan chickpea curry, saag paneer, and homemade naan and chutneys. Where possible, organic and locally sourced ingredients are used.

13:15-14:15 Writing session 3: What does your day look like?

14:15-15:00 Walk in the forest.

15:10-16:20 Writing session 4: What do you hope comes true?

16:25-17:00 Wrap-up writing, share reflections, close the day.
